Black Tickets
WHAT IS IT?
Black Tickets (BT) are used to draw Limited SSRs – units who are often much more powerful than your regular SSRs, and usually meta-changing.
The LSSR Banner is usually during the first week of the month.
During the event, the LSSR rate will be higher for that unit, but it does not guarantee any pulls at all. It is not uncommon to pull 180x and yet don’t draw the LSSR.
The chance to draw the LSSR the first 2 times is 4x of other SSR. After obtaining twice, the chance becomes 1.5x of other SSR. I believe that the 4x is not 4x the rate of drawing a SSR, but rather IF you draw an SSR, then it has 4x more chance to be the LSSR as compared to a normal SSR in the pool.
The only thing that is guaranteed is that the LSSR will appear by the 3rd pull for sure. What this means is that if you happen to already pull 2 normal SSRs (like CK and Alloy), then IF you happen to pull another SSR, it will guarantee to be the LSSR since it is your 3rd SSR draw. This does not mean you will be guaranteed 3 SSRs, or the LSSR within 180 pulls. A lot of people have this misconception. The SSR draw % still remains the same at like 1.3%, so you still need some luck to pull each SSR at 1.3%, for 3 times. Do the math.
Example 1 – No LSSR:
- Every BT you pull, there is 1.3% to draw a SSR (orange unit).
- This means that if you’re unlucky, it is possible to not get ANY SSRs at all in 180 pulls
- You got unlucky and didn’t manage to draw in 180x
- Get the LSSR from the event quest rewards
Example 2 – LSSR on first:
- Every BT you pull, there is 1.3% to draw a SSR (orange unit).
- You got lucky to hit the 1.3% and draw a SSR (you have a 4x higher chance to draw the LSSR. But still have a chance to draw any normal SSR in the pool like CK or Alloy etc). Congrats! It is the LSSR!
Example 3 – LSSR on last:
- Every BT you pull, there is 1.3% to draw a SSR (orange unit).
- You got lucky to hit the 1.3% and draw a SSR (you have a 4x higher chance to draw the LSSR. But still have a chance to draw any normal SSR in the pool like CK or Alloy etc). But too bad it’s not LSSR! It’s Alloy!
- You continue drawing and draw another SSR! But too bad it’s CK!
- Now IF you happen to draw again and hit the 1.3% to get a SSR, then this SSR is guaranteed to be the LSSR! But only if you hit the 1.3% – this is NOT guaranteed.
HOW TO USE?
You can just draw with 1 BT at minimum, but most players will advise you to save to at least 180 BTs before pulling so as to guarantee the LSSR.
If you’re lucky and manage to draw in less than 50 draws, it’s advisable to stop and save up for the next LSSR.
If you draw between 50 and 150, then it’s up to you whether you want to max draw for duplicate shards.
If you draw at around 150, then you should continue and max draw for shards since you’re already so near 180.
If you’re unlucky to not draw the LSSR at all after 180 (which happens to A LOT of people), then simply claim your LSSR reward under the event rewards.
To be fair, I can understand that this game style of saving up to 180 BTs may not fit all players. Some are the gambler types who prefer to pull at every banner for fun, while some will prefer to wait and save to secure the LSSR that they want. There is no right and wrong, just play however you want as long as you enjoy the game, but don’t complain and live with the consequences of your decision.
With that being said, RNG is RNG. If you intend to stay for a long time in the game, especially if you’re F2P, then it’s best to always save BT, especially for core characters.

HOW TO OBTAIN?
BTs can only be obtained by a few ways, hence it is critical to save and spend wisely.
FREE
- Buying with gems during each LSSR banner (including comeback)
- 1 BT = 220 gems
- You can only buy a max of 36 BTs each banner so 36*220=7920 gems required
- You need to buy twice monthly so you need at least 15,840 gems saved up. This is a must buy.
- At the start of the LSSR banner (excluding comeback), you will also get daily login BT rewards, of total 5 BTs
- You can usually get BTs during other events in the events shop (like Xmas, CNY etc), but it really depends. On average you can get 1-2.
- Hence total monthly free BT will be about 77-79
- If you’re on a new server launch (eg SEA, JP, KR), the first BT launch will be unlimited sales, meaning you can buy more than 36.
PAY
- Mall Packs
- You can buy the limited recruitment packs
- If you’re a low spender, you can try your luck at the Daily RND packs that give BTs or other stuff randomly. You have a chance to get 12 BTs at a cheap price
- Direct Funds – 1 BT = 22 funds (but not ideal, usually packs are more worth it)
Black Shurikens
WHAT IS IT?
Black Shurikens (BS) are used to draw the LSSR Keepsakes, as you can’t draw them in normal SSR KS events like Claw Machine (not for the first time at least usually).
The LSSR KS event usually comes together with the LSSR comeback banner, albeit a few days later, so around 2nd to 3rd week of the month.
HOW TO USE?
Unlike BTs, you can only draw in pulls of 10 BS at a time, and you must pull all 8 rounds to get the KS, there is no chance to draw it any earlier due to luck etc.
Each round costs 10 BS, but there is a discount on the following rounds
- Round 1 – 20% off = 2 BS off
- Round 4 – 50% off = 5 BS off
- Round 6 – 30% off = 3 BS off
Total BS needed = 8 rounds of 10 BS = 80 BS – discounts (2+5+3) = 70 BS
Each pull nets you with various rewards, including the LSSR shard, KS shards, and other resources/materials/shards. The KS shards don’t do much because you probably won’t draw enough to fuse a second one. For whales who are looking for a 2nd KS to 4*, you can reset it once, and re-draw the 8 rounds, but you won’t get another KS on the 8th round. Instead you’ll get to choose from 30 LSSR unit shards, or 30 KS shards.
At certain rounds you also get certain rewards, like resources, materials and SR keepsakes.
HOW TO OBTAIN?
BS are even rarer than BTs and takes even longer to save up for one LSSR KS. Hence F2Ps really need to select wisely (if you need to know, just get RMG KS).
FREE
- Buying the Exclusive Sigil Pack with gems in the mall
- 1 Pack = 3 BS (along with other items) = 1888 gems
- You can only buy a max of 2 packs per month, so total cost is 3776 gems. This is the same as BT, it’s a must buy so save up your gems.
- At the start of the LSSR KS banner, you will also get daily login BS rewards, of total 3 BS
- You can usually get BS during other events in the events shop (like Xmas, CNY etc), but it really depends. On average you can get 1-2.
- Hence total monthly free BS will be about 10-11. You need 70 BS so that’s about 7 months of saving just for 1 LSSR KS!
PAY
- Mall Packs
- You can buy the same pack as above, but this time using funds (150 funds each), and it’s also capped at a max of 2 packs per month
- You can also buy the more expensive Exclusive Recruitment Pack if needed
- Direct Funds – 1 BS = 22 funds (but not ideal, usually packs are more worth it)
