Assembly Card

Assembly Card board

Assembly Cards are the newest gear layer in the game. Think of them as another set of slots that gives your units extra stats on top of your Gears and Buff Gears. You can find them in the Gear Info screen, under the Assembly Card tab on the right.
Note: As this is new content, the information below may be incomplete, and the page will continue to be updated as and when new information is available.

TLDR:

  • Cards come in 2 types, Cloud Ring and Cloud Star. Each type only fits its own slots
  • Level up, Ascend and Refine your cards to raise their base stats
  • Set effects only turn on when the total Ascension + Refinement stars of that set hit 40 (or 80 for the stronger version)
  • Don't equip 3 or more cards with the same stat, the stats get reduced
  • Linkers boost the base stats of your cards, but they do nothing for the set effects
  • Materials come from the Cloud Tower Plan

Cloud Ring & Cloud Star

Just like how Buff Gears are split into different types, Assembly Cards are split into Cloud Ring and Cloud Star. On the board, the round slots are for Cloud Ring cards and the octagon slots are for Cloud Star cards. A card can only go into its matching slot, so you can't squeeze a Ring card into a Star slot.

Each card comes with a base stat, like Shield or Specialized Hit, and it belongs to a Set (Strength, Vitality, Wisdom, Synergy, Resistance and Assault). The colour of the card tells you the quality: Blue, Purple or Orange, and higher quality means bigger numbers.

Upgrading Cards

There are 3 ways to upgrade a card:

  • Level up: Raises the base stat. The first level (0 > 1) costs 20 circuits and 10,000 gold, and the cost is the same no matter what quality the card is
  • Ascension: Adds stars to the card and counts towards the set effect
  • Refinement: Also adds stars and counts towards the set effect

Tap on any card on the board and you will see its base stat, the Set effect and the Remove / Enhance buttons.

Set Effects

This is where the real power is. Each Set has 2 tiers, and they are activated when the same Set's Ascension and Refinement stars across your equipped cards reach 40 or 80 stars. The 2 tiers do not stack, only the highest one you have reached applies. So 80 stars replaces the 40 star bonus, it doesn't add on top of it.

Set effect values are taken from the game data and may differ slightly from what your server shows. Do double check in-game.

The stats you see in the Assembly Effect box at the bottom of the board (Shield, Specialized Hit, Arena DMG and so on) are just the total base stats from all your equipped cards. The set effects are separate from these.

Stat Reduction (Don't Double Up!)

If you equip 3 or more cards that give the same stat, the game will reduce that stat. So don't just spam your favourite Set. Mix and match your cards so that you are not stacking the same stat 3 times.

The catch is that the set effects need lots of stars from the same Set, while the reduction punishes having the same stat too much. So plan your board first before you start dumping resources into the cards!

Linkers

Linkers go into the 2 centre sockets of the board. Each character can equip 1 Cloud Ring Linker and 1 Cloud Star Linker. A Linker strengthens the base stats of the cards it reaches. It does not boost the set effects, so it won't help you hit 40 or 80 stars. If a stat reduction is triggered, the Linker boosts the reduced value.

Linkers are upgraded through Evolution (Breakthrough). Every step up in quality lets it reach more cards and also increases the boost.

Linker QualityCards ReachedBase Stat Boost
Blue1+2%
Purple2+5%
Orange3+9%
Red3+14%

Each evolution step (Blue > Purple > Orange > Red) takes 30 / 60 / 100 carriers respectively. The table applies to both the Cloud Ring and Cloud Star Linkers.

Since Linkers only touch the base stats, I would put your resources into the cards and their set effects first, then upgrade the Linkers after that.

Where to Get Materials

Circuits, carriers and duplicate cards mainly drop from the Cloud Tower Plan, a seasonal tower mode. Dismantling cards and Linkers also gives you Cloud Tower Plan exchange currency, which you can use to buy more stuff.

Dismantle & Revert

Got a card you no longer need? Hit the Dismantle button at the top left of the card bag.

  • Dismantle (Cards): Free. Returns part of the upgrade resources you spent and gives you Cloud Tower Plan exchange currency
  • Revert (Cards): Resets the card back to its original state, but it costs gems.
  • Dismantle (Linkers): Only dismantle is available, and it gives you Cloud Tower Plan exchange currency. There is no revert for Linkers

Since dismantling only returns part of your resources, don't upgrade a card unless you are sure you will keep it.
