TLDR:
Purple stick: CANNOT get Lv200, base max of Lv160 (slightly higher if you complete first day weekly cap).
You will need to buy 20-40+ levels with funds to get to Lv200 – if you have double funds recharge then this will be slightly cheaper than the orange stick.
Orange stick: Able to hit Lv200 quite easily as long as you finish most of the quests every week.
Things to Note:
- You cannot hit Lv200 with basic backup stick due to the XP caps
- Weekly cap for Weekly quests is 650, Weekly cap for Daily quests is 1350. Total weekly XP cap is 2000 (20 levels). So basically in 8 weeks, you can get 8×20 = 160 levels at the base
- First day (usually Sun) you can spam quests to clear for that weekly cap
- If you buy the stick, you get extra quests – 1 green, 1 blue and 1 purple.
- The uncompleted quest points will be carried over to the following week, so you can continue grinding then if you couldn’t play much this week (You will see your weekly limit increase).
- You can save the wristbands as they will carry over the next season, and you can exchange them for other LSSR shards or even KS!
- You can only get Lv200 by hitting most of the daily/weekly quests limits (see calculation below) + you need to either buy the Expensive backup stick OR buy the rest of the levels with funds
- If you decide to buy the stick nearing the end, you will still be able to get all the rewards retroactively. Just note that you might not hit lv200 (since the paid stick gives you extra weekly quests which you would have missed out on) so you might need to top up a few extra levels.
- You don’t have to hit lv200 (although I strongly recommend you do if you’re buying since all the good rewards are there). You can hit maybe Lv160-180, and then get the rest of the LSSR shards via exchanging bracelets to hit 80 shards to fuse.
REWARDS
The rewards are similar to last season. An average SPD33 rune for LC. Got a random MB thai costume this time, which doesn’t do much for F2Ps if you don’t have him.
- Hellfire shards (total 80 over 200 lvls)
- Hellfire figurine
- Hellfire badge
- SPD 33 LC Rune (lv199)
- Metal Bat Thai Costume (lv150)
- Vegan Tank Top KS (lv10)
- SSR wristbands, which is a currency for you to exchange LSSR shards and awaken materials
WORTH IT?
If you don’t mind spending on the game, HBU is always the best bang for your money in terms of all the rewards that you will get.
TLDR: If you’re a low spender and you don’t mind to continue spending on the game, sure why not. It’s ‘cheap’ for an LSSR if you want to put it this way. But cheap for a game? Not really, you could buy most PC games for $39USD for example.
HELLFIRE’S KIT
Role: Team support (absorb DoT, Injury, Internal Injury, Charge)
Type: Duelist / Monster (Demon)
Meta Duration: Not really in the meta especially for F2P, but he’s definitely a nice addition to the team for whenever you might need his passive.
ABILITIES
Basic: Single target 130% ATK. Increases own MAX HP by 20% for 2 rounds.
Ultimate: 3 hits front row for DMG equal to 30% of the Main Target’s MAX HP (DMG cannot be more than 30% of Hellfire’s MAX HP). 100% chance to deal [Burn] on main target for 2 rounds(100% ATK).
Passive: At the start of round, grants [Shield Boost] (allows [Tenacity] and [Resilience] effects to absorb [DOT], [Injury], [Internal Injury] and [Charge] type attacks) to self, column ally, and 1 other random ally for 2 rounds. (Limit break4: Cross-shaped). At the start of every round, absorb up to 20% of Hellfire’s MAX HP for self and column ally (effect gone if Hellfire dies)
Ultra-Ultimate:
Dmg target Max HP 30% > 40%
Dmg cannot be more than self Max HP 30% > 40%
Extreme-Passive:
Grants Orange Tenacity to ALL allies for 2 rounds
Absorb HP% 20% > 25%
5P Passive:
Grants Orange Tenacity to ALL allies for 3 rounds
Absorb HP% > 30%
GEAR
Suggested gear:
You’ll want to focus on HP to make him tanky since a lot of his abilities are tied to his Max HP.
Recommended set is Suit/Battle/Magic
Broken set is fine if you don’t have the required pieces.
Buff Gear:
Hero HP – HP% x3
Duelist HP – ATK/BLOCK%
Demon HP – HP/DMG FREE
Pros:
- As of writing, it’s the only mechanic that allows Tenacity to absorb DoT, so it will help to counter ATT
- Not many good duelists around, so if you skipped Sonic V2, then Hellfire is a much better alternative to ZBM/Magicman
- In HBU so it’s relatively ‘cheap’ for an LSSR
- Shares perks with Gale Wind/SonicV2 if you have them
Cons:
- Too much competition for Extreme Training (Bomb, Sonic, DK, and better future units), you will have trouble levelling him
- He needs quite a bit of investment to make him viable – lots of HP to ensure he stays alive every round for his passive
- If you already have Sonic V2, then Sonic is still better. Plus SSR+ are coming soon, so you probably won’t invest in him as there’s not enough space
- He’s a monster so you won’t be able to use him in Hero only content (hello again ZBM)
