GENOS’S KIT
Role: AOE DPS
Type: Hi-Tech / Hero (S1)
Meta Duration: Falling off very soon in a couple of months when Bomb comes out.
SO WHY GENOS?
This is going to be a short post because there’s absolutely zero reason to get SSR Genos at this point. His meta in PVP is left with 2 months until Bomb comes out. His meta in PVE AOE is already out as ATT is already here. There is really no good reason at all for you to pull him now.
Pros:
- Still the strongest in PVP until Bomb comes out
- Disclaimer – very strong whale Genos with KS CAN still be very competitive during Bomb meta
- Even stronger with the released KS
Cons:
- PVP meta dropping off in a few months when Bomb comes, depending on your server
- PVE meta for AOE damage already out (replaced by ATT)
WHAT ABOUT HIS KEEPSAKE?
If you’re a whale or you intend to continue to build him for some reason, then his KS is worth to get. The HP based damage is up from 24% to 32% – do note that it’s not simply just an 8% increase in damage. Since it’s HP based, you’re effectively dealing somewhere in the range of 30%+ more damage in terms of raw numbers which is a crazy buff.
Not to mention the animation is awesome, and it always feels good to see the enemy being blasted into oblivion.
eg if HP is 10,000 (ignoring all other factors like dmg rate etc)
Without KS 24% = 2400
With KS 32% = 3200
Increase of 800 dmg; 800/2400 = 33% more dmg
And it scales even more if you have WDM!
Ultra-Ultimate:
AoE dmg 24% > 32%
Burn dmg 70% > 90%
Max HP reduction 30% > 20%
However if you’re an F2P then I strongly advise you to skip, and go for RMG and ATT KS at the moment.
TIPS:
If you manage to draw in less than 50 draws, it’s advisable to stop and save up for the next LSSR.
If you draw between 50 and 150, then it’s up to you whether you want to max draw for duplicate shards.
If you draw at around 150, then you should continue and max draw for shards since you’re already so near 180.
