DISCLAIMER: This guide is more for F2P players with limited BTs. Going forward, I will give insights on why the unit is good or bad, so that you can make your own informed decision. Due to everyone’s own unique line-up, BT count, situation, new units and constantly changing meta, I will NOT be advising on pulling or not.

  • All the SSR+s are strong in their own way. It’s a matter of which one you have to prioritize as an F2P
  • The good news is that, it’s pretty much exactly the same as SSR+. It’s still using 4 Evo stones and 1 Awakening stone, and still requires BT to pull. The only change is that now we need the UR evo stones (red color) instead of the orange ones we have. Hence you have to use up all your SSR+ stones. There is an option to convert 2 SSR+ Stones into 1 UR stone, but at this time I’m not sure if that’s a one-time thing during the UR event, or you can exchange anytime. Guide here!
  • As an F2P, it is too expensive to Awaken Passive 2 any SSR+/UR, I would recommend you pull multiple good SSR+/UR units than to AWK2 one SSR+/UR. However, it depends on your situation and if a particular unit is very good, so if you want to please go ahead. Do note you can continue doing so on the comeback banner if not enough BT (although not as ideal).

Basic: Deal 2 consecutive strikes to a single target, dealing 120% ATK, 100% chance to inflict [Internal Injury] (deals 100% of Suiryu’s ATK when attacked and disappears after triggered)
Ultimate: Attacks enemies in a row with 5 consecutive strikes, dealing DMG by 400% ATK. Triggers [Breakthrough] (cancels [Specialized Unyielding], once per attack), 75% chance of inflicting [Internal Injury] to the main target and 3 random enemies (deals 600% of Suiryu’s ATK when attacked and disappears after triggered) Grants himself 400% ATK of [Specialized Guard]

Passive: Permanently grants himself 50% Injury Boost. Grants himself 50% Non-Crit DMG Free, lasts for 4 rounds. After receiving Fatal DMG, recovers 50% Max HP, once per battle.

Awaken Passive: After casting Ultimate, launches [Continuous Follow-Up] to 2 random enemies with [Internal Injury] (100% of Ultimate DMG and effect, if less than 2 enemies, can Follow-up on the same target). Immune to [Adhesion/Paralyzed]

Ult DMG 400% > 600%
Chance of Internal Injury 75% > 90%
Internal Injury dmg 600% > 750%
Self S.Guard 400% > 600%

Extreme Passive:
Injury boost 50% > 65%
Recover after fatal dmg 1x > 2x

5P Passive:
Injury boost 65% > 80%
Self Non-Crit DMG FREE 50% > 60%
Healing after fatal dmg 50% > 80%

Awakened 2:
Continuous Follow-up to 2 enemies > 3 enemies
Follow-up if less than 2 enemies > 3 enemies
Additional: After recovering from [Specialized Unyielding], launches [Continuous Follow-up] to 2 random enemies (80% of Ultimate DMG and 100% of Ultimate effect, if less than 2 enemies, can Follow-up on the same target).

Suggested gear:

SO WHY UR Suiryu?

  • The next huge DPS powerhouse, after UR TT (or Groribas+ for most people). This is your next DPS carry
  • Not only high DPS but also great survivability. Has S.Guard regen from ult, Resurrect, Non-CRIT DMG Free, and immune to Adhesion and Disabled effects.
  • Great for all scenarios – PVP, PVE and bossing!

  • Expensive to gear – KS is highly recommended for the higher DPS, more self S.Guard and 5P. A2 is best if you can.
  • He is a Grappler slot, which is very competitive. Along with SSR+ Alloy, that’s 2 slots that is already taken that you cannot compromise on
  • Next UR is Boros which is a core unit, so if you have limited BTs you need to consider carefully.

Highly recommended to pull as he is the new DPS meta, especially if you didn’t pull UR TT, and Groribas is kind of falling behind. However take note Boros core is coming so plan your BTs carefully!

Yes no doubt. Always boost your main DPS carrys!
