DISCLAIMER: This guide is more for F2P players with limited BTs. Going forward, I will give insights on why the unit is good or bad, so that you can make your own informed decision. Due to everyone’s own unique line-up, BT count, situation, new units and constantly changing meta, I will NOT be advising on pulling or not.

  • All the SSR+s are strong in their own way. It’s a matter of which one you have to prioritize as an F2P
  • The good news is that, it’s pretty much exactly the same as SSR+. It’s still using 4 Evo stones and 1 Awakening stone, and still requires BT to pull. The only change is that now we need the UR evo stones (red color) instead of the orange ones we have. Hence you have to use up all your SSR+ stones. There is an option to convert 2 SSR+ Stones into 1 UR stone, but at this time I’m not sure if that’s a one-time thing during the UR event, or you can exchange anytime. Guide here!
  • As an F2P, it is too expensive to Awaken Passive 2 any SSR+/UR, I would recommend you pull multiple good SSR+/UR units than to AWK2 one SSR+/UR. However, it depends on your situation and if a particular unit is very good, so if you want to please go ahead. Do note you can continue doing so on the comeback banner if not enough BT (although not as ideal).

Basic: Deals damage to a single target with 2 consecutive strikes for 120% ATK. Has a 100% chance to [Shatter] the target for 2 rounds (Reduces DMG Free by 20%).
Ultimate: Attack enemies in the entire column with 3 consecutive strikes for 420% ATK damage, each hit has a 100% chance to apply 1 layer of [Specialized Burn] (Deals continuous damage for 150% ATK that will disappear after 3 times. After any enemy takes action, it will spread to others that does not have this effect).

Passive: At the start of battle, grants 50% DoT damage increase to all allies that last up to 4 rounds. After [Specialized Burn] and [Detonate] causes damage to enemies, G4 and his same row allies will recover 40% of damage dealt as [Specialized Guard].

Awaken Passive: At the start of the battle, all enemies will be inflicted with [Specialized Burn] (This effect is unaffected by Hit, deals continuous damage for 150% ATK that will disappear after 3 times. After any enemy takes action, it will spread to others that does not have this effect). Before any character action, clear [Stun] or [Specialized Stun] of 1 ally up to 2 times per round. After any character action, for every enemy that is in [Specialized Burn] state, increase 10% ATK of allies, can be stacked up to 3 times for 1 round.

ATK 420% > 600%
S.Burn DoT 150% > 200%
Grants 20% Non-crit Dmg free to all allies for 2 rounds

Extreme Passive:
Continuous damage increase 50% > 65%
Recover S.Guard 40% > 50%

5P Passive:
Continuous damage increase 65% > 80%
Recover S.Guard 50% > 60%

Awakened 2:
At the start of battle > For the first 3 rounds
Dispel stun 2x per round > 3x
Increase allies atk 10% > 15%
Self gain permanent immunity to Stun/S.Stun

Suggested gear:

  • Counters units with Stun/S.Stun, like MK+
  • The next ‘strong’ DPS for Monster side
  • Another form of S.Guard regen for both self and allies in same row via S.Burn
  • Great for both PVE and PVP
  • Kind of must have if you focus on Monster side
  • Usable in any core

  • Lots of more powerful UR units upcoming, especially Suiryu and Boros core
  • MK+ starts to fall off later so S.Stun isn’t much of a problem, so the counter isn’t super critical
  • In Monster only fights, MK+ is not there, so the G4 will be countering Gale Wind in terms of Stun, which you don’t really see much of him nowadays
  • He is a Hi-Tech slot, which is overkill in the current meta if you also want to use DK+ and MK+. Not enough slots
  • S.Burn doesn’t really do that much DPS, compared to others

Good but not a must have I feel for F2P. Personally I am saving up for Boros core for sure, and maybe Suiryu.

If you focus on Monster side a lot, definitely a must pull.

Not super important – get only if you’re going to 5P him.
