ur-bomb

DISCLAIMER: This guide is more for F2P players with limited BTs. Going forward, I will give insights on why the unit is good or bad, so that you can make your own informed decision. Due to everyone’s own unique line-up, BT count, situation, new units and constantly changing meta, I will NOT be advising on pulling or not.

  • All the SSR+s are strong in their own way. It’s a matter of which one you have to prioritize as an F2P
  • The good news is that, it’s pretty much exactly the same as SSR+. It’s still using 4 Evo stones and 1 Awakening stone, and still requires BT to pull. The only change is that now we need the UR evo stones (red color) instead of the orange ones we have. Hence you have to use up all your SSR+ stones. There is an option to convert 2 SSR+ Stones into 1 UR stone, but at this time I’m not sure if that’s a one-time thing during the UR event, or you can exchange anytime. Guide here!
  • As an F2P, it is too expensive to Awaken Passive 2 any SSR+/UR, I would recommend you pull multiple good SSR+/UR units than to AWK2 one SSR+/UR. However, it depends on your situation and if a particular unit is very good, so if you want to please go ahead. Do note you can continue doing so on the comeback banner if not enough BT (although not as ideal).

SKILL KIT

Basic: Deal 120% ATK, 100% chance to inflict [Internal Injury] (deals 100% of Bomb’s ATK when attacked and disappears after triggered)
Ultimate: Attacks enemies in a row with 6 consecutive strikes, dealing DMG by 510% ATK. 100% chance of inflicting [Internal Injury] to the main target (deals 500% of Bomb’s ATK when attacked and disappears after triggered)

Passive: When battle begins, obtains 60% chance of [Evade] (Reduce Direct/Extra/Charge/Berserk DMG to 1 DMG), lasts for 5 rounds. After any character acts, absorbs 40% [Internal Injury] DMG on enemies and deal [Specialized Extra DMG] (Can be Crit, not affected by [Specialized DMG Reflect]) to the entire enemy team. For the first 5 rounds, before any character acts, recovers 500% ATK of HP, 3 times per round

Awaken Passive: When Bomb attacks, summons Silverfang to deal [Combo Attack] with the same attack style.
Basic – Deals 100% Bomb’s ATK damage to a random target.
Ultimate – Attacks all enemies with 5 consecutive strikes and deals damage by 150% Bomb’s ATK and have 75% chance of inflicting [Internal Injury] on main target (deals 450% of Bomb’s ATK when attacked and disappears after triggered)

Ultra-Ultimate:
ATK 510% > 600%
Internal Injury ATK 500% > 750%

Extreme Passive:
Chance of Evade 60% > 70%
Absorb Internal Injury DMG 40% > 50%
Recover HP 3x per round > 4x per round

5P Passive:
Chance of Evade lasts for 5 rounds > 8 rounds
Absorb Internal Injury DMG 50% > 60%
Recover HP 500% > 650%

Awakened 2:
Silverfang ult dmg 150% > 200%
Internal Injury chance 75% > 90%
Internal Injury dmg 450% > 600%

GEAR

Suggested gear:

HP%x3, Optional Bonus DMG Ratex3
If you can, go for CRIT%x2 since MB’s skillset revolve around CRIT.

SO WHY UR Bomb?

Pros:

  • Has synergy with Suiryu for the internal injury debuff
  • Decent AOE damage
  • Decent survivability due to Evade, Injury absorption and Self-heal.
  • Jack of all trades so useful for PVE/PVP

Cons:

  • Doesn’t counter Suiryu much, so not a dealbreaker to not pull Bomb
  • The next few URs will be Hero type (KING, AS) so there’s a lot of competition for Hero slots. If you want a balanced team (for both Hero and Monster), then you probably will need to save some BTs for upcoming Monster units
  • Not so useful for PVB

FINAL THOUGHTS

I feel he is a ‘meh’ unit, personally am skipping him. Initially we thought he will counter Suiryu hard but that does not seem to be the case.

WHAT ABOUT KS?

If you’re a whale maxing him then yes. But, no.

DID YOU KNOW…

Bomb’s fighting style can be considered similar to the Nanto Sei Ken martial art from the Fist of the North Star series, since it involves cutting opponents into pieces with bare hands.
